Sequoyah State Park occupies a scenic 2,200-acre peninsula on the eastern shore of Fort Gibson Lake, making it one of Oklahoma's premier lakeside camping destinations. The park provides extensive camping options with over 400 sites distributed across several distinct areas. RV campers can choose between full-hookup sites at Choctaw and Seminole campgrounds (water, electric, sewer with 30/50 amp service) or water and electric only at Cherokee. Tent campers have dedicated areas at The Creek, Choctaw, and Paradise Cove. Each camping area includes comfort stations with flush restrooms and hot showers, and both campgrounds have dump stations. Sites feature picnic tables, charcoal grills, and fire rings. The park accommodates big rigs with pull-through sites available and a maximum RV length of 60 feet. ADA-accessible sites and shower facilities are available in each campground area. Beyond camping, the park offers lighted boat ramps, the Three Forks Nature Center, hiking trails, a recreation room, tennis and basketball courts, horseshoe pits, and playgrounds. The Sequoyah Lodge provides lodging and dining at the Lookout Kitchen restaurant. The Sequoyah Group Camp features a dining hall with full kitchen and 10 A-frame cabins for larger gatherings.
