Yellowbottom Recreation Site offers a relaxing camping experience among Oregon's largest trees. Explore nearby trails, swimming holes, old-growth forests, wildflowers and rock outcroppings. Drive the Quartzville National Back Country Byway for a day of fishing, swimming, and gold panning. Standard fees apply for use of the campground.


Reserve a site at Yellowbottom on recreation.gov or pay when you arrive for non-reserved campsites using the Recreation.gov Mobile App . You must download before you reach the site since there is no cell reception in the drainage. 

Spend a relaxing night of camping among some of the largest trees in Oregon at the BLM's Yellowbottom Recreation Site.


Yellowbottom offers a one-mile hiking trail, access to Quartzville Creek Wild and Scenic River, and a take off point to explore nearby recreation trails.


This small campground contains campsites to accommodate single campsites for tents or small trailers. Not recommended for large RVs or trailers due to the one lane site road and tight turning radius.

Yellowbottom offers a beautiful swimming hole and a one-mile trail that will lead to old-growth trees. Discover a landscape of old-growth and maturing forests, accented by rock outcropping, wildflowers and vivid fall colors.
