Camp 4 Group Campsite sits at 3,600 feet elevation in the McCloud area of Shasta-Trinity National Forest, providing a designated group camping experience for parties ranging from 2 to 30 people. The developed site can accommodate up to 10 vehicles, including a maximum of 5 RVs or motorhomes and 10 tents. Amenities include picnic tables, fire pits, vault toilets, and trash collection service. No potable water is available at the campground; campers can fill up at the McCloud Ranger Station before arriving. The campground operates on a reservation-only basis through Recreation.gov, with a 15-day stay limit enforced. Leashed pets are welcome. Behind the group campsite, a day-use area is open to the public from sunrise to sunset. This area is strictly for daytime activities, with no overnight camping permitted. The nearest services are in McCloud, approximately 9 miles away.

Directions

From Highway 89 south of McCloud, turn right onto River Loop Road (Fowlers/Lower Falls exit). Travel 0.5 miles, turn left toward Middle/Upper Falls on Forest Service Road 40N44. Continue 1.5 miles past the stop sign until you see Camp 4 signage, then follow the gravel road 0.5 miles to the campground.
