Heat Risk will range from Moderate to Major. * WHERE...San Joaquin Valley and adjacent foothills, as well as Lake Isabella and the Kern River Valley. * WHEN...Until 11 PM PDT Monday. * IMPACTS...Hot temperatures and limited overnight relief may cause heat illnesses. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS...Afternoon high temperatures up to 108 degrees will occur from today into Monday. Overnight lows will range from the upper 60s in some valley locations to the lower 80s in some of the higher foothills.
About
North Tule Campground sits within the Tule Recreation Area on the northeastern shore of Success Lake, a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers reservoir in Tulare County. The landscape features sparse oak woodland and open grassland, with wildflowers blooming across the surrounding foothills in spring. Sites in the North Tule loop include electric hookups with 30 and 50 amp service, plus water spigots within walking distance of pads. The campground operates year-round and provides full-service amenities: flush toilets, hot showers, potable water, and a dump station. A boat ramp, playground, and amphitheater are on-site. Saturday evening campfire programs run from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Success Lake offers bass, crappie, catfish, and bluegill fishing, plus quiet coves for kayaking. The campground gates close from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Reservations are available through Recreation.gov up to six months in advance.

From Highway 99, take Highway 190 east approximately 8 miles toward Porterville/Success Lake. Follow signs to Tule Recreation Area.
