About

Glade Creek Group Campground occupies roughly four acres along a large bend of the Wild and Scenic Lochsa River in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests. The site is completely hidden from US Highway 12, offering groups of up to 35 people a secluded riverside experience with private beach access. Mixed-age conifers and low-growing shrubs provide shade and natural privacy between sites. The campground features four campsites with accessible fire rings, ten-foot picnic tables, level tent pads, and graveled parking areas. Two sites sit adjacent to the river. A vault toilet is on-site, but there is no potable water; campers can obtain water at Apgar Campground about one mile west. The campground accommodates small RVs and trailers up to 24 feet. Popular activities include fishing, swimming, and whitewater rafting on the Lochsa. Three hiking and mountain biking trails lie within two miles of the campground, and these trails are also open to motorcycles from June through September. Gas, groceries, and services are available in Kooskia.
