Rackliff Campground is a small, rustic campground situated along the scenic Selway River in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests of Idaho. With only 6 campsites, this intimate campground offers a quiet retreat for visitors seeking a peaceful camping experience in a beautiful river corridor setting. The campground provides basic amenities including picnic areas and vault toilets, but campers should come prepared as no drinking water is available on-site. Fishing enthusiasts will appreciate the direct access to the Selway River, known for its excellent fishing opportunities. A footbridge spans Rackliff Creek, and the campground serves as a trailhead for Rackliff Ridge Trail #702, offering hiking opportunities into the surrounding forest. Operating on a first-come, first-served basis, the campground charges $8 per night during the fee season from May 12 through September 30. Outside the fee season, visitors may use the campground but should note that services such as restroom cleaning will not be provided, and access may be limited seasonally due to snow. The campground is located about 9 miles southeast of US Highway 12 via Forest Road 223.
