About
Wild Goose Campground offers a prime location along the Middle Fork Clearwater River at milepost 98 on scenic Highway 12. The campground features 8 campsites situated between the highway and river, with gravel parking and access to a sandy beach. The riverside setting makes it ideal for water activities including swimming, tubing, and whitewater kayaking. Guided trips and equipment rental are available in nearby Syringa and Lowell. The campground operates seasonally and provides basic amenities including two vault toilets and drinking water from a hand pump. Sites can accommodate RVs up to 24 feet in length with a maximum of 8 people and 2 vehicles per site. All sites are first-come, first-served and include picnic tables and fire rings. The surrounding area features large western red cedar and fir trees along this stretch of the Middle Fork Clearwater Wild and Scenic River.

From Kooskia, Idaho, follow US Highway 12 east for 20 miles. Wild Goose Campground is on the right side between the highway and the river at milepost 98.
