About

Tuttle Creek Cove Campground sits on the shores of Tuttle Creek Lake in the northern Flint Hills of Kansas. The campground features 39 compact campsites arranged in two loops, all equipped with 50-amp electric and water hookups. Modern facilities include flush restrooms and shower buildings, though the terrain between campsites and shower buildings is steep and does not meet accessibility standards. The campground provides a scenic base for exploring Tuttle Creek Lake's 10,900 acres of water and 20,000 acres of surrounding land. Boating and fishing are popular activities, with the lake supporting crappie, walleye, and channel catfish. Wildlife watchers may spot bald eagles, white-tailed deer, Canada geese, and wild turkeys. The area also offers hiking, biking, off-road vehicle, and equestrian trails. Nearby attractions include Konza Prairie, Kansas State University, Fort Riley, and the Prairie Parkway. The campground operates seasonally from mid-April through October with reservations available through Recreation.gov.

From the intersection of US-24 and K-13 at the west end of the dam, turn east onto K-13, then immediately turn north onto Tuttle Cove Road and continue 3 miles to the campground entrance.
