About

Pine Meadows Campground is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers facility on Cottage Grove Lake, surrounded by a diverse mixture of marshland, coniferous forests, and grasslands in Oregon's southern Willamette Valley. The main campground features nearly 100 sites across two distinct loops: the standard loop (Sites 1-92) with flush toilets, hot showers, dump station, playground, horseshoe pits, and an amphitheater hosting Saturday evening programs in July and August; and a primitive loop (Sites A-O) with limited amenities and no flush toilets or showers. Every site includes a fire ring and picnic table, with several lakeside sites available. The campground accommodates RVs up to 94 feet on some pull-through sites, though lengths vary by site. Boat ramps at nearby Lakeside Park and Wilson Creek Park provide lake access for boating and fishing. The area is managed for diverse wildlife habitat including waterfowl, black-tailed deer, bald eagles, osprey, and rare species like purple martins and yellow-breasted chats. Cottage Grove Lake is a designated stop on the Big River Loop of the Willamette Valley Birding Trail.
