It will then fall below flood stage Wednesday morning. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.

Fishermans Corner provides convenient camping facilities with impressive views of the Mississippi River near Hampton, Illinois. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this 56-site campground offers modern amenities while maintaining an authentic outdoor experience along the river. The campground features 46 sites with electric hookups and 5 tent-only sites without electric, all situated on concrete pads along a paved road for easy access. Facilities include a shower house, flush toilets, drinking water, a dump station, playground equipment, and an amphitheater hosting weekly educational programs during the season. While there is no direct river access from the campground, the adjacent Fishermans Corner Day Use facility offers fishing areas and a canoe ramp within walking distance. The location provides excellent wildlife viewing opportunities, particularly for bald eagles during winter months. The campground overlooks a small aquatic marsh near Locks and Dam 14, where visitors can observe turtles, waterfowl, and various bird species. The Central Trail section of the Mississippi River Trail passes directly in front of the campground, offering miles of biking and walking paths. The Elton E. Fawks Bald Eagle Refuge and Nature Preserve and Illiniwek Forest Preserve are located nearby for additional outdoor recreation.
Directions
From Interstate 80, take Exit 1 for IL State Route 84, East Moline/Savanna. Travel south on IL State Route 84 S/2nd Ave for 1.5 miles to the campground entrance on the right. From East Moline, travel north on IL State Route 84. Entrance will be on the left.
