This has resulted in a lower forecast for the Mississippi River in this area. Observational trends will continue to be monitored through this afternoon and evening, and may result in the Watch being cancelled this evening. * WHAT...Flooding is possible. * WHERE...Mississippi River at Rock Island LD15. * WHEN...From Monday evening to Thursday morning. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 11:00 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 9.5 feet and slowly rising. - Forecast...Rises on the river will continue through at least Monday night. The river may reach flood stage, but is less likely to do so than forecasts from 24 hours ago. - Flood stage is 15.0 feet.

* WHAT...Flooding caused by excessive rainfall overnight continues to be possible. * WHERE...Portions of Illinois, including the following areas, Bureau, Carroll, Henry IL, Jo Daviess, Mercer, Putnam, Rock Island, Stephenson and Whiteside and Iowa, including the following areas, Benton, Buchanan, Cedar, Clinton, Delaware, Dubuque, Iowa, Jackson, Johnson, Jones, Keokuk, Linn, Louisa, Muscatine, Scott and Washington. * WHEN...Until 1 PM CDT this afternoon. * IMPACTS...Flooding may occur in poor drainage and urban areas. Area creeks and streams are running high and could flood with more heavy rain. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - Heavy rains have ended over the area, but many area creeks are running high and in some cases, are flooding this morning. This areal flooding will continue this morning, with additional rainfall amounts under one quarter inch.

This helps provide higher confidence in these river forecasts. ...REPLACES RIVER FLOOD WATCH... * WHAT...Moderate flooding is forecast. * WHERE...Rock River at Moline. * WHEN...From Monday evening to Friday morning. * IMPACTS...At 13.2 feet, water affects 60th Street south of John Deere Road in Moline and 56th Ave from Green Valley Park 48th St. Water is on Canal Road in Big Island. Smith's Island is affected by flood waters. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 8:30 AM CDT Sunday the stage was 9.5 feet and rising. - Forecast...The river is expected to rise above flood stage Monday evening to a crest of 13.6 feet Tuesday evening. It will then fall below flood stage late Thursday evening. - Flood stage is 12.0 feet.
