Wolverton Stock Campsites

Wolverton Stock Campsites provides dedicated equestrian camping in the heart of Sequoia National Park. Stock animals are mandatory to camp here; reservations without stock will be cancelled with full fees. Each of the two sites accommodates up to 6 people, 10 stock animals, and 2 vehicles. Amenities include corrals, tent sites with picnic tables, and bear-proof food storage boxes. A restroom is located at the far side of the trailer parking lot. The campground offers access to over 40 miles of equestrian trails through the Giant Forest and Lodgepole areas. Popular destinations include trails to Moro Rock and Tokopah Falls. The Giant Forest with its massive sequoia groves is adjacent to the campground. Lodgepole pine and red fir forest the area. Stock cannot be tied to trees, and all horse manure and uneaten feed must be raked up and disposed of daily. Quiet hours are 10 PM to 6 AM. Showers and a market are available at nearby Lodgepole. Vehicles over 22 feet are not advised through the Sequoia National Park entrance; oversized vehicles should use the Kings Canyon entrance via Highway 180.

Directions

Located off the Generals Highway on Wolverton Road, between Lodgepole Campground and Giant Forest in Sequoia National Park. Vehicles over 22 feet should not enter through Sequoia National Park entrance; instead use the Kings Canyon National Park entrance via Highway 180. Horse trailers must enter through the Big Stump Entrance on Highway 180.
