Callville Bay Campground occupies a shaded oasis on Lake Mead's Boulder Basin, providing quick desert escape just outside Las Vegas. The 52 paved asphalt sites nestle among mature palm trees, oleanders, and cottonwoods that offer welcome relief from the desert sun. Each site includes a table and fire pit or grill. Restrooms and water spigots are distributed throughout the campground, with an RV dump station and water refill station near the entrance. The Callville Bay Resort is within walking distance, featuring a full-service marina with boat rentals (hourly available), fuel dock, slip rentals, and a boat launch ramp. The resort includes a restaurant and lounge, cafe, and store with supplies. The picnic area near the campground has shade, grills, and interpretive panels on local history. Directly across from the campground lies the Callville Summit Trail, a 2.7-mile moderate hike that climbs to views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, Hemenway Valley, and the River Mountains. Summer temperatures regularly exceed 100°F from June through August, while winter lows can reach freezing December through February.

Directions

From Las Vegas, take Lake Mead Parkway east to the park entrance. Take the first left onto Northshore Road and follow it about 11 miles. Turn right toward Callville Bay. After about 4 miles, the campground is on the right.
