Boulder Beach Campground is located in Lake Mead National Recreation Area along the Boulder Basin, just minutes from Las Vegas. The campground operates year-round and features 135 large paved sites that can accommodate tents or large RVs. Each site includes a table and fire pit or grill. The campground is an oasis with lush vegetation including palm trees, oleanders, mature cottonwood trees, and native plants that provide shade and privacy between sites. Many sites offer views of Lake Mead, Fortification Hill, and the River Mountains.
The campground has modern amenities including flush toilets and water spigots distributed throughout, though no showers are available. An RV dump station and water refill station are located near the entrance. Thirteen accessible sites are available. Sites 1-9 operate on a first-come, first-served basis with cash payment, while the remaining 126 sites require advance reservations through Recreation.gov. The campground has a staff host on site seasonally.
Recreation opportunities abound with Boulder Beach about a 20-minute walk away, offering swimming, kayaking, and jet skiing. The paved River Mountains Loop Trail passes directly by the campground and extends over 30 miles. Nearby Hemenway Harbor provides fishing and boat launching, while Lake Mead Marina offers boat rentals and dining. The Hoover Dam is just minutes south via US Highway 93, and Boulder City offers dining and shopping options.
Directions
Located along Lakeshore Road between Henderson and Boulder City, Nevada. Take US Highway 93 into the Boulder Beach Entrance of Lake Mead National Recreation Area. Follow Lakeshore Road 2 miles and take your second right. The campground is on the left.
