Willow Beach Campground is located in a dramatic canyon setting along the Colorado River within Lake Mead National Recreation Area, approximately 13 miles south of Hoover Dam on the Arizona side. The campground offers 28 full-service RV sites with water, sewer, and electric hookups, plus 9 tent sites. All campsites include fire rings and picnic tables, with 24-hour access to showers and laundry facilities. The location serves as a popular destination for water-based recreation, with an on-site marina offering boat and paddlecraft rentals, fuel services, a boat ramp, and dry storage. An accessible fishing pier provides year-round fishing opportunities, with the nearby U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service Willow Beach Fish Hatchery releasing rainbow trout regularly on Fridays. The area is a premier paddling destination, with many visitors taking guided or self-guided kayak trips from Hoover Dam to Willow Beach, stopping at coves, hot springs, and waterfalls along the way. Willow Beach Harbor includes Willow Beach Grill for dining and a marina store selling snacks, drinks, fishing equipment, and supplies. The site features sandy and rocky beaches, picnic facilities, and spectacular views of Black Canyon and the surrounding desert mountains. The location has been used for camping since 250 B.C. when Basketmaker Indians from Lost City first settled here, and it later became a well-known fishing camp on the Colorado River before modern amenities were added in 1954.
