About
Applegate Cove is a U.S. Army Corps of Engineers campground located on the scenic Robert S. Kerr Reservoir, part of the McClellan-Kerr Arkansas River Navigation System in eastern Oklahoma. The campground offers 26 standard electric sites and one group shelter, all nestled under mature oak and hickory trees along the reservoir's shoreline. With over 250 miles of shoreline and 43,000 surface acres, Robert S. Kerr Reservoir is recognized for outstanding fishing opportunities. Crappie, largemouth and striped bass, channel and flathead catfish, and walleye reach trophy sizes here. A boat ramp and courtesy dock provide easy water access for boaters and anglers. Facilities include a clean bathhouse with flush toilets and showers, drinking water, a dump station, and trash collection. Each campsite features a picnic table and fire ring. Two playgrounds and hiking trails along the shoreline offer additional recreation. The campground enforces quiet hours from 10 PM to 6 AM and limits stays to 14 consecutive nights per 30-day period.
