The strongest winds are expected through this morning. * IMPACTS...Damaging winds will blow down trees and power lines. Widespread power outages are expected. Travel will be difficult, especially for high profile vehicles.

Wolf Den Run Campground, located within Wolf Den Run State Park in Oakland, Maryland, offers a primitive camping experience amidst a diverse landscape of forests, streams, and rugged terrain. The campground features 10 primitive campsites, each equipped with a fire ring and picnic table. Additionally, two glamping tents are available for rent, providing a furnished canvas tent on a platform with a queen-sized bed and Adirondack chairs; linens and pillows are not provided. The campground is situated in a remote area with no running water or bathhouse facilities; however, a portable toilet is available on-site. Campers should be prepared for limited amenities and bring necessary supplies, including water. Recreational opportunities abound within the park, including off-road vehicle (ORV) riding, hiking, mountain biking, fishing, and hunting. The park encompasses over 2,000 acres with a network of trails and access to the North Branch of the Potomac River. Reservations are required for camping and can be made online or by calling 1-888-432-2267. The campground operates year-round, but during winter months, campsites and driveways are not plowed and may be covered in snow and ice; a four-wheel-drive vehicle may be necessary to access the campsite.
Directions
From Oakland, MD, take MD-135 E for approximately 5 miles. Turn right onto Upperman Road and continue for about 1.5 miles to reach the campground at 1699 Upperman Road.
