About

Wishon Point Campground sits adjacent to Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest at 3,400 feet elevation, providing a shaded retreat among dense stands of manzanita, oak, cedar, and pine trees. The campground features 47 campsites, including both standard and tent-only options, with some sites offering views of Bass Lake. The thick undergrowth between sites provides natural privacy for campers. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table, stone fire pit, and pedestal grill. The campground provides flush toilets, though potable water is not available on-site. Parking spurs are dirt and can be bumpy, with narrow interior roads that make the campground best suited for smaller rigs. Motorhomes over 24 feet or trailers over 20 feet are not recommended. A campground host is on-site and sells firewood. Bass Lake is renowned for its fishing opportunities, including bass, trout, bluegill, and catfish, as well as being home to bald and golden eagles. The lake offers a beach, boat ramp at Wishon Point, and opportunities for swimming, motorized boating, water skiing, kayaking, and sailing. Nearby hiking trails include Willow Creek, Goat Mountain, Spring Cove, and the Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail. Miller's Landing Resort adjacent to the campground provides a general store, pay showers, laundry facilities, and a restaurant. Yosemite National Park's South Entrance is approximately 24 miles away.
