About

Wishon Campground is located across the street from Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest's Bass Lake Ranger District at 3,400 feet elevation. The campground offers a shady setting with dense stands of manzanita, oak, cedar, and pine providing privacy between sites. Some campsites offer views of Bass Lake. Each campsite includes a picnic table, stone fire pit, and pedestal grill. The campground provides flush toilets and drinking water. Parking spurs are dirt and may be bumpy due to narrow interior roads. Motorhomes over 24 feet or trailers over 20 feet are not recommended. Miller's Landing Resort adjacent to the campground offers a general store, pay showers, laundry facilities, and restaurant. Bass Lake offers swimming, motorized boating, canoeing, kayaking, water skiing, sailing, and fishing for bass, trout, bluegill, and catfish. Nearby hiking trails include Willow Creek (2.7 miles), Goat Mountain (2.6 miles), Spring Cove (2.6 miles), and Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail (1 mile). The campground is approximately 24 miles from Yosemite National Park's South Entrance. Bald and golden eagles inhabit the Bass Lake area.
