About

Spring Cove Campground is located across from Bass Lake in Sierra National Forest at an elevation of 3,400 feet. The campground sits in a shaded grove of oak, pine, and cedar trees, providing relief from summer heat. All 62 sites are standard nonelectric and best suited for tents or small RVs, as tight turns and short parking spurs make the campground unsuitable for large travel trailers or RVs over 30 feet. Each campsite includes a picnic table and campfire ring. The campground has flush toilets (some ADA accessible) and drinking water. Pets are allowed with a maximum of two per site and must be kept on leash at all times. Bass Lake is a popular summer destination known for its beach, boat ramp, and variety of fish including bass, trout, bluegill, and catfish. The 2.6-mile Spring Cove Trail is accessible from within the campground, and other nearby trails include Willow Creek, Goat Mountain, and the Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail. Yosemite National Park is less than an hour's drive, making it an easy day trip.

Directions

From Highway 41 north to Oakhurst, take the Bass Lake turn-off (Road 222). Head southeast about 3.5 miles to the Bass Lake Campground registration office for check-in (keep to the right).
