The net effect of this order is to reopen Kinnikinnick Campground and Florence Lake Picnic Area (i.e removing them from Exabit A of the Forest Recreation Closure list).
About
Cedar Bluff Campground occupies a prime location adjacent to Bass Lake within the Sierra National Forest's Bass Lake Ranger District. Set among towering Ponderosa pines at 3,400 feet elevation, the campground provides convenient access to one of the region's most popular recreational lakes. The area is known for its bald and golden eagle populations that inhabit the surrounding forest. The campground features 22 sites arranged across three loops, with double, triple, and quad configurations available for groups. Each site includes a picnic table, fire ring, grill, and paved parking spur. Note that some sites are on slopes with limited flat tent space. Flush toilets, including accessible facilities, and drinking water are provided. Maximum vehicle length is 30 feet. Bass Lake offers extensive water recreation including swimming, motorized and non-motorized boating, water skiing, sailing, and fishing for bass, trout, bluegill, and catfish. Nearby hiking options include Willow Creek, Goat Mountain, Spring Cove, and the Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail. The campground sits just 24 miles from the entrance to Yosemite National Park.
