About
Lupine Campground provides a quieter, more private camping experience at Bass Lake compared to the adjacent Cedar Bluff Campground. Located in the Bass Lake Ranger District of Sierra National Forest at 3,400 feet elevation, the campground features 50 sites spread across multiple loops, set back from the lake among towering ponderosa pines, oaks, and cedars that provide excellent shade throughout the day. Bass Lake offers excellent recreation opportunities including a beach, boat ramp, swimming, motorized boating, kayaking, water skiing, sailing, and fishing for bass, trout, bluegill, and catfish. Bald and golden eagles make their home in the area. Nearby hiking options include Willow Creek Trail, Goat Mountain Trail, Spring Cove Trail, and the Way-of-the-Mono Interpretive Trail. The campground is located just 24 miles from Yosemite National Park's South Entrance, making it a convenient base for exploring the park. Services are available at the nearby Forks and Millers Landing Resorts. Campers must check in at the Bass Lake Campground office near Recreation Point before proceeding to their site.
Directions
From Highway 41, take the Bass Lake turnoff (Road 222) and head southeast approximately 3.5 miles to the Bass Lake CLM office. Continue approximately 2.75 miles to the Lupine Cedar Bluff Campground.
