About
Crane Valley Group Campground is located adjacent to Bass Lake in the Sierra National Forest, offering group camping opportunities in a densely forested setting of oak, cedar, and pine trees. The campground features 7 group sites that can accommodate between 12 to 30 people each, with maximum group sizes up to 45 people per site. Each site is equipped with grills, fire rings, and picnic tables. Although the sites do not offer direct views of Bass Lake, the campground provides convenient access to the lake's many recreational activities including motorized and non-motorized boating, fishing, swimming, hiking, sailing, and water skiing. The Bass Lake area features interpretive programs throughout the summer, and Yosemite National Park is less than an hour away for day trips. Campers must bring their own drinking water as no potable water is available on-site. Portable toilets are provided. The campground can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet and is located approximately 3.5 miles from Highway 41 via Forest Road 222, about 20 miles south of Yosemite National Park near Oakhurst.
Directions
From Fresno, take Highway 41 north through Oakhurst. Turn right on Forest Road 222 towards Bass Lake. Keep right for 3.5 miles to the campground.
