About

Windust Park is located on the shores of Lake Sacajawea in Eastern Washington, a 22-mile reservoir formed by Ice Harbor Dam on the Lower Snake River. The remoteness of this park makes it popular with regional visitors looking for a quiet area to get away from it all. Managed by the US Army Corps of Engineers, the campground provides recreational opportunities for boaters, campers, hikers and anglers alike. The campground offers 24 primitive campsites available on a first-come first-served basis with no camping fees. Visitors enjoy relaxing in the shade under mature trees scattered throughout the waterfront park. The lake offers excellent boating and swimming opportunities, with a boat ramp provided for guest use. Fishing is a popular pastime, and anglers will find excellent salmon and steelhead fishing opportunities on the lake and river. The park is located about 36 miles from Pasco, accessible via Highway 12 east to the Pasco-Kahlotus Highway, then 30 miles to Burr Canyon Road. The remote location makes this an ideal destination for those seeking solitude and natural beauty along the Snake River.
