About

Fishhook Park occupies a scenic waterfront location on Lake Sacajawea in the black rock canyons of Eastern Washington. Named for the historic Fishhook Rapids where Lewis and Clark camped in October 1805, this US Army Corps of Engineers campground attracts anglers, boaters, and families seeking waterfront recreation. The campground features 41 family sites with 50-amp electric and water hookups, plus 11 primitive walk-up tent sites in a grassy common area. Two tent sites are designated group sites with sun shelters. Mature shade trees throughout the park provide relief from summer heat. Amenities include flush toilets, free hot showers, a dump station, and a boat ramp for direct lake access. Fishing is the primary draw, with excellent salmon and steelhead opportunities on the lake. Swimming, water sports, and upland hunting round out the recreational options. The campground enforces quiet hours from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
