Rooks Park at Bennington Lake is a day-use recreation area located 10 minutes east of Walla Walla, Washington, managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers. Despite appearing on Recreation.gov under camping categories, this facility does not permit overnight camping. The reservable listing is for a group picnic shelter that can accommodate up to 75 people and 50 vehicles. The park features large open grassy spaces ideal for family picnics, volleyball, football, and frisbee. Large trees and irrigated lawns provide shade during Walla Walla's hot summer days. Mill Creek runs through the property, offering a place to cool off. Nearby Bennington Lake, less than 10 minutes away, is the only public lake in the Walla Walla Valley at 52 surface acres and is stocked with rainbow trout in spring. Facilities include flush toilets, drinking water, a playground, sand volleyball court, and horseshoe pit. Alcohol is prohibited. Dogs must remain leashed at all times. Gate hours are 7 a.m. to 9 p.m. or sunset, whichever comes first. Vehicle access is available April through mid-October, with foot traffic permitted year-round.

From Walla Walla, take Highway 12 East. Exit at Airport Way and turn right onto Airport Way. Drive 0.25 miles then turn left onto East Isaacs Ave. Continue onto Mill Creek Rd in 0.75 miles. Drive 0.5 miles then turn right onto Rooks Park Rd. Continue 0.25 miles to park.
