About

Hood Park is located on Lake Wallula in eastern Washington, a reservoir formed by McNary Lock and Dam on the Columbia River. Operated by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers, this campground offers 67 family campsites, all equipped with electric hookups. The campground is situated along the banks of the lake with sweeping water views and mature shade trees providing ample shade throughout the park. Visitors enjoy excellent recreational opportunities including boating with a boat ramp on-site, swimming beach access, and fishing for salmon and steelhead. The McNary National Wildlife Refuge is adjacent to the park and provides habitat for migrating waterfowl, bald eagles, and shorebirds, with nature trails and an environmental learning center open to the public. Lewis and Clark camped two miles downstream at what is now Sacajawea State Park. Facilities include flush toilets, hot showers, a dump station, and one day-use group picnic shelter with electric hookup. Each campsite includes a fire ring and picnic table. Park gates are closed from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., and check-in time is after 2 p.m.

Directions
