About

Wilson Point Day Use Area sits along the forested banks of Hugo Lake in Choctaw County, Oklahoma. Managed by the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers Tulsa District, this facility is designed for daytime recreation rather than overnight stays. The area operates from 6 a.m. to dusk daily. Facilities include a large group picnic shelter with electrical hookups available for reservation through Recreation.gov, a sandy swimming beach, a dedicated kids fishing pond, playground equipment, boat ramp for lake access, and restrooms. The pavilion is well-suited for family reunions, company picnics, and other group gatherings. Hugo Lake itself offers excellent fishing opportunities year-round, from early sand bass and crappie to summer catfish and fall bass. The surrounding area provides over 25,000 acres for hunting, including waterfowl, quail, dove, and whitetail deer. For overnight camping at Hugo Lake, visitors should look to other USACE campgrounds in the area such as Kiamichi Park or Hugo Lake Park.

Directions

From Sawyer, OK, take Highway 147 north for a mile, then turn left into the day use area.
