About

Wilson State Park Campground occupies 36 wooded acres on the north end of Budd Lake in Harrison, Clare County. Originally the site of the Wilson Brothers Sawmill and Company Store that thrived in the late 1800s, the park was established in 1920 and now offers a modern camping experience with historical roots. The campground features 160 campsites, all equipped with electric hookups. Some sites offer 50-amp service and pull-through access to accommodate larger RVs and big rigs. About 30 sites are designated for tent-only camping. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Modern amenities include clean restroom and shower buildings, a sanitation dump station, and potable water access. Budd Lake provides excellent opportunities for swimming at the sandy beach, fishing, boating, and paddling. The park includes a playground and picnic areas for day use. Located within Harrison city limits, the campground offers the unique advantage of being walking distance to stores and services while maintaining a wooded, natural setting. The park's in-town location makes it an ideal base for exploring the Clare County area.
