Wilson State Park Campground

Wilson State Park occupies 36 wooded acres on Budd Lake's north shore near Harrison, Michigan. The modern campground is organized into north and south loops with 160 sites, all equipped with 20/30-amp electrical service. Sites 60-65 offer full hookups (electric, water, sewer), and some sites accommodate larger RVs with 50-amp service. The campground features generous, shaded sites under mature oaks, maples, and pines, with many overlooking the lake. Facilities include a modern restroom and shower building with flush toilets, potable water spigots throughout, a sanitation dump station, and trash service. The park offers a sandy swimming beach, playground, basketball and volleyball courts, and canoe/kayak rentals. Fishing for bass, bluegill, and pike is popular on Budd Lake. The beach and residence building at the park entrance are historic structures built by the Civilian Conservation Corps between 1939 and 1941. The campground operates seasonally from May through November. Check-in is at 3 p.m. and checkout at 1 p.m. Quiet hours run 10 p.m. to 8 a.m. during the Memorial Day through Labor Day period. Pets are welcome on a 6-foot leash but are prohibited in buildings and on the beach. Reservations are handled through Michigan's DNR reservation system at midnrreservations.com.

Directions

From US-127, take the Clare exit and head north on Business US-127 to Harrison. Turn west on Main Street, then north on First Street. The park entrance is at 910 North First Street.
