Ashley National Forest Order 050115A1 regarding:  Closure of Fishing from Concrete Boat Ramps on Flaming Gorge Reservoir

About

Willows Campground is a small, peaceful camping destination within the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area in northeastern Utah. Nestled alongside Sheep Creek and surrounded by colorful cliffs, the campground sits at approximately 6,500 feet elevation just off Highway 44. Its proximity to the Sheep Creek Bay boat ramp makes it an excellent base for boating, water skiing, and fishing on Flaming Gorge Reservoir. The campground is operated by a concessionaire and offers basic facilities including vault toilets and trash service. Potable water is not available, so campers must bring their own water supply. The setting provides a quieter alternative to larger developed campgrounds in the recreation area. Nearby attractions include the Sheep Creek Geological Area, featuring dramatic tilted rock formations and opportunities for hiking and wildlife viewing. The campground is accessed via a short dirt and gravel road off Highway 44.

From Highway 44 in the Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area, take the short dirt and gravel road to the campground near Sheep Creek Bay.
