Ashley National Forest Order 050115A1 regarding:  Closure of Fishing from Concrete Boat Ramps on Flaming Gorge Reservoir

About

Manns Campground is a small, intimate campground in Ashley National Forest's Flaming Gorge National Recreation Area. Located at 6,040 feet elevation along scenic Sheep Creek, just off Utah Highway 44, it offers a single campsite that can accommodate up to 10 people. The site sits on flat terrain with dirt and gravel parking, surrounded by a mix of trees and bushes that provide varying amounts of sun and shade throughout the day. The campground includes vault toilets and a picnic table but has no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. Fishing opportunities abound nearby at Sheep Creek and Flaming Gorge Reservoir, though anglers should check current regulations for permitted season dates. Other recreational activities in the area include caving at Sheep Creek Cave, wildlife viewing, swimming, and waterskiing on Flaming Gorge. Target shooting is available approximately 2 miles away. Weather in this area can change rapidly, with moderate to strong winds and potential thunderstorms bringing heavy rain, lightning, and gusty conditions. A Recreation Pass is required for parking at Forest Service boat launch areas in the region.
