About

Willow Creek Campground is a small, rustic campground tucked into the Kootenai National Forest in Sanders County, Montana. Located approximately 19 miles northeast of Trout Creek on NFS Road #54, the campground provides a quiet backcountry experience along Willow Creek. The six sites are spread along gravel roads and parking spurs, each equipped with tent pads, picnic tables, and fire rings. This is a pack-in, pack-out campground with no fees and no reservations. Vault toilets are available, but there is no potable water on site, so campers must bring their own supply. Despite its primitive nature, the campground can accommodate larger rigs with parking spurs suitable for RVs up to 40 feet. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. The campground is officially managed from Memorial Day through Labor Day, though it remains accessible year-round depending on weather and road conditions. Food storage requirements are in effect throughout the Kootenai National Forest.
