About

Pleasant Valley Campground is a quiet, no-fee campground nestled in the Kootenai National Forest at 3,070 feet elevation, approximately 32 miles southwest of Libby along Highway 2. The campground provides a rustic camping experience with 7 standard campsites, each equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Additionally, two stock campsites with feed bins and corrals cater to equestrian visitors. The campground is available year-round, though it is actively managed only from Memorial Day through Labor Day. Access during winter months is weather-dependent. Amenities are minimal: vault toilets are provided, but there is no potable water, so campers must bring their own supply. This is a pack-in, pack-out facility, meaning all trash and refuse must be removed by campers. The Pleasant Valley area offers diverse recreational opportunities including fishing, hiking, mountain biking, OHV riding, horseback riding, hunting, and wildlife viewing. Pets are welcome but must be kept on a leash. Campers bringing horses must have documentation for certified weed-free hay and forage.
