West Fork Fishtrap Creek Campground occupies an open, sunny location along the meandering West Fork of Fishtrap Creek in Montana's Lolo National Forest. This free, no-fee campground provides a peaceful setting for campers seeking streamside fishing and scenic forest surroundings with light visitor traffic. Each campsite is equipped with a picnic table and fire ring. Potable water is available from a hand-pump well during much of the summer season. Vault toilets are provided. The campground operates on a first-come-first-served basis with no reservations. Horses and pack animals are not permitted at this site. Campers must follow bear safety and food storage requirements to reduce human-wildlife conflicts.

Directions

From Thompson Falls, travel 5 miles east on Highway 200. Turn left (north) onto the paved Thompson River Road (not the graveled road). Travel 15 miles north on Thompson River Road. Turn left (west) on Fishtrap Creek Road #516 for 10 miles. Turn left (south) on West Fork Fishtrap Creek Road. Campground is on the right after 0.1 mile.
