About

Wild Turkey Ridge Campground is one of several camping areas at Harry S Truman State Park, located on the shores of 55,600-acre Truman Lake. The campground occupies a wooded ridge offering shade and privacy between sites. All 23 basic campsites include a picnic table, fire ring, and lantern hook, with water spigots shared between adjacent sites. Site pads range from 45 to 71 feet in length. The campground features vault toilets in the camping loop and a centrally located showerhouse with flush toilets, hot showers, and coin-operated laundry facilities near the Bluff Ridge Trail trailhead. Four sites are designated ADA-accessible with concrete pathways to nearby water hydrants. The campground operates seasonally from April 1 through October 31, when water and shower facilities are available. Harry S Truman State Park offers excellent fishing and boating access on Truman Lake, known for crappie, bass, and catfish. A full-service marina with boat slips and a store is located within the park. Hiking trails including the Bluff Ridge Trail provide opportunities to explore the Ozark woodland landscape.
