About
Buck Ridge Campground sits on a wooded peninsula at Harry S Truman State Park, where mature oak canopy provides shade along the shoreline of the 55,600-acre Truman Lake. The campground features 61 premium electric sites with 50-amp service and pads ranging from 50 to 70 feet in length, making it suitable for larger RVs. Six family sites offer an extra pad, table, and electric hookup for groups camping together. Every site includes a fire pit, picnic table, and lantern hook. Campers have access to a showerhouse with restrooms and laundry facilities during the operating season. The campground includes its own dock and beach area, with a larger beach, playground, and full-service marina located elsewhere in the park. The marina offers boat rentals, slips, and a camp store for supplies. Truman Lake provides excellent opportunities for fishing, boating, swimming, and water skiing. The park also features hiking trails and picnic areas throughout the peninsula. A central dump station serves RV campers. Reservations are available up to 12 months in advance through the Missouri State Parks reservation system.
Directions
From Warsaw, Missouri, head west on US-65 to State Park Road W. The park entrance is approximately 5 miles west of Warsaw on the peninsula extending into Truman Lake.
