About

Ashley Lake North Campground sits on the scenic north shore of Ashley Lake in Montana's Flathead National Forest, approximately 16.5 miles west of Kalispell. This small, primitive campground offers 6 campsites plus a host site, making it an ideal destination for campers seeking a quiet lakeside experience without the crowds of larger developed campgrounds. The campground provides basic amenities including picnic tables, fire rings, and a vault toilet. Potable water is not available, so campers must bring their own water supply. The campground operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no fees and no reservations. A 5-day stay limit is enforced. Quiet hours are from 10 PM to 6 AM. Ashley Lake offers excellent opportunities for both motorized and non-motorized boating, as well as swimming. Horse and pack animals are not permitted at this campground. The area is managed by the Tally Lake Ranger District.
