About
Whiteface Reservoir Campground occupies the northern shore of a 4,980-acre reservoir surrounded by mixed forest of aspen, birch, spruce, balsam, and pine. The campground features 52 sites suitable for tents and RVs, with 32 premium sites offering electric hookups. Six sites are available for monthly reservations and six for seasonal stays. A group site accommodating larger parties is also available. The reservoir is renowned for walleye, panfish, and northern pike fishing, with three boat launches providing easy access to the water. A fish cleaning house near the main boat launch lets anglers process their catch on-site. The sandy swim beach, playground, and five picnic areas make this an excellent family destination, while 2.5 miles of hiking trails wind through the surrounding forest. An on-site camp store carries firewood, bait, bug spray, and snacks. Potable water is available from solar-powered wells throughout the campground. Vault toilets serve the facility. A campground host is present during the reservation season. ATVs are not permitted within the recreation area. Note that reservoir water levels are controlled by Minnesota Power and may fluctuate throughout the summer.
