Some low-water crossings may become impassable. River or stream flows are elevated. * ADDITIONAL DETAILS... - At 940 AM CDT Friday, minor flooding and high water levels are already occurring. - This includes the following streams and drainages... Oyster River, Ge-be-on-e-quet Creek, Horse River, Shohola Creek, Hustler River, Moose River, Jeanette Creek, Wolfpack Creek, Nugget Creek, Heritage Creek, Portage River, Range Line Creek and Legend Creek. - Some locations that will experience flooding include... The Bear Head Lake Guest House is a spacious lodging option within Bear Head Lake State Park, located about 10 miles east of Tower in Minnesota's Iron Range. This modern two-story split-level home with basement accommodates up to 10 guests across three bedrooms (one with a full bed, two with twin beds) and two sleeper sofas with full beds. The house includes two full bathrooms, a fully-equipped kitchen, a dining area, and two separate living spaces. Situated just feet from Bear Head Lake, the guest house provides direct access to excellent fishing opportunities for walleye, bass, crappies, and trout. The outdoor space includes a yard with a firepit, a furnished patio, picnic tables, and a charcoal grill. Trails from the property lead to the lake and connect to the park's broader trail system. Bear Head Lake State Park offers additional activities including swimming at the beach, canoeing along miles of undeveloped shoreline, hiking, cross-country skiing, and snowmobiling. The park is known for its remote, northwoods character and dark skies suitable for stargazing.
