About

White Rock Horse Camp is a dedicated equestrian campground located in Davy Crockett National Forest, providing access to the Piney Creek Horse Trail system that meanders approximately 53 miles through the East Texas pineywoods. This overnight trailhead facility is specifically designed for horse camping and trail riding enthusiasts. The campground offers 26 campsites with sanitary facilities including vault toilets, potable water access, and a horse washing area. As a first-come, first-served facility, it caters to riders exploring the extensive trail network through pine forests and diverse East Texas terrain. The campground is situated in Houston County, approximately 10 miles south on Forest Service Road 514 from Highway 7. It provides an ideal base camp for multi-day horseback riding adventures through the national forest's scenic woodlands and streams.

Directions

From Crockett, Texas, take Highway 7 East for 11 miles to Forest Service Road 514 South. Continue on 514 for 10 miles to Forest Service Road 514-D, leading directly to White Rock Horse Camp.
