About
Nestled within the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest east of Medford, Whiskey Springs Campground provides a quiet, secluded camping experience. The 34 campsites are flat and shaded, arranged along a loop road that winds through the forest. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Nine vault toilets serve the campground, and firewood is available for purchase from the campground host. The campground sits on the historic Old Military Road, which once served as the supply route for Fort Klamath. A one-mile interpretive loop trail within the campground explores this history. The area is bear country, so campers should store food in closed containers and maintain a clean camp. Nearby recreation includes Willow Lake (927 acres with hiking, swimming, fishing, and boating) and Fish Lake. The Mt. McLaughlin Trail #3716 and Fourbit Ford Campground are also within easy access. Off-road vehicles are prohibited within the campground.
