About
South Fork Campground is a quiet, primitive camping destination nestled in an old-growth forest along the South Fork Rogue River in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. Located about 8 miles down Forest Road 34 from Highway 992, this small campground offers just 6 sites, making it an ideal spot for those seeking solitude away from larger, busier campgrounds. Each site includes a picnic table and fire pit, with two vault toilets serving the campground. There is no potable water available, so campers must bring their own supply. Garbage service is also not provided, requiring a pack-it-out approach. The campground enforces quiet hours between 10 p.m. and 8 a.m., and stays are limited to 14 consecutive days. The riverside setting provides opportunities for fishing and enjoying the natural beauty of the Southern Oregon Cascades. Dogs are welcome but must be kept on leash. OHV and ATV use is prohibited within the campground. The area is typically accessible from June through September, with fees at $15 per night for a single site and $7 for each additional vehicle.
