Fourbit Ford Campground is a small, secluded camping area situated along Fourbit Creek in the Rogue River-Siskiyou National Forest. The 7-site campground sits in a pine-dominated forest about a mile off Butte Falls Highway, offering a quiet retreat for campers seeking solitude. The area holds historical significance as part of the original Old Military Road that served as a supply route for Fort Klamath. The campground provides basic amenities including vault toilets, garbage disposal, and fire pits and picnic tables at each site. There is no potable water on site, but drinking water is available at the adjacent Whiskey Springs Campground, which also sells firewood. A campground host is stationed at Whiskey Springs. Numerous hiking trails are accessible from the area, including the popular Mt. McLoughlin Trail #3716. Nearby Willow Lake offers 927 acres of recreational opportunities including swimming, fishing, and boating. Fish Lake is also a short drive away. The campground sees light usage, making it ideal for those seeking a peaceful forest camping experience.

Directions

From Medford, OR, travel north approximately 16 miles on Highway 62 through Eagle Point to the Butte Falls/Willow Lake turnoff. Turn east (right) and travel 16 miles to the town of Butte Falls. Continue through Butte Falls on County Road 821 for 9.1 miles to Forest Road 3065. Turn north (left) and travel 1.4 miles to the campground entrance on the west (left).
