Wendover Campground
The campground is scheduled to open June 6, 2026 after repairs from 2024 windstorm damage. Water systems have been turned on and tested. The typical operating season runs late May through early October.
About
Wendover Campground is situated along the Wild and Scenic Lochsa River off the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway and All American Road (US Highway 12) at milepost 158.2. The 27 campsites are positioned within a mature, moss-covered pine forest centered around a small stream, offering a serene setting for camping, picnicking, fishing, hiking, and wildlife viewing. The campground features paved driveways at each site with picnic tables and fire rings. It can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet. Drinking water is available from a hand pump, and vault toilets are provided. Campground hosts are present when the facility is open. The location provides excellent access to the Lochsa River corridor's recreational opportunities including world-class whitewater and backcountry exploration in the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests.

From Lolo, MT drive west on Highway 12 for approximately 49 miles to the campground at milepost 158.2.
