Wendover Campground is situated along the Wild and Scenic Lochsa River off the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway and All American Road (US Highway 12) at mile post 158.2. The campground features 27 campsites all positioned within a mature, moss-covered pine forest and centered around a small stream, creating a serene environment for outdoor recreation. The campground can accommodate RVs up to 40 feet in length and provides hosts when open. Campers can enjoy fishing in the Lochsa River, hiking nearby trails along the Lolo Trail National Historic Landmark, wildlife viewing, and exploring the Northwest Passage Scenic Byway corridor. The location within the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests offers access to pristine wilderness and scenic beauty. This campground serves as an excellent base for exploring the Middle Fork Clearwater Wild and Scenic River corridor and the surrounding national forest lands.
