About

Jerry Johnson Campground is a rustic 20-site campground situated along US Highway 12 in the heart of Idaho's Lochsa River corridor. The campground sits across from the Wild and Scenic Lochsa River within the Nez Perce-Clearwater National Forests, offering a forested setting with easy highway access. The main draw for many visitors is proximity to Jerry Johnson Hot Springs, one of Idaho's most popular natural hot springs. The springs are reached via a moderate hike from the campground area. The Lochsa River corridor also offers fishing, wildlife viewing, and access to the historic Lewis and Clark trail. This is a primitive campground operating on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations. Each site includes a picnic table and fire ring. Vault toilets are provided. Potable water is currently not available, so campers should bring their own water supply.
