About
Wellfleet Hollow State Campground is a quiet, wooded retreat designed specifically for tent campers on the Outer Cape. Operated by the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation, the campground offers 108 sites spread across several loops, including accessible sites, a compact loop for smaller parties, a group campsite, and a communal hike/bike site. Select sites offer 20-amp electric hookups. RVs, trailers, and fifth wheels are not permitted. Amenities include modern comfort stations with flush toilets, outdoor showers, a dishwashing station, and potable water. Each campsite comes equipped with a picnic table and fire ring with a flip-grate for cooking. Trash and recycling dumpsters are provided. There is no dump station on site. The campground's location makes it ideal for day trips to Cape Cod National Seashore beaches, Wellfleet Bay Wildlife Sanctuary, and the 25-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail. Pets and generators are not permitted, maintaining the quiet atmosphere.
Directions
From U.S. Route 6 East, turn right onto Old County Road, which becomes Old Kings Highway. The campground is about one mile on the right.
