Located in Brewster on Cape Cod, Nickerson State Park spans 1,900 acres of pine and oak forests dotted with eight crystal-clear freshwater kettle ponds. The park offers more than 400 campsites spread across multiple camping areas, providing options for tent camping, RV camping, and alternative accommodations including yurts. The sandy-bottom ponds are stocked year-round with trout and offer opportunities for swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing. The park's extensive trail system includes an 8-mile paved bike path that connects directly to the Cape Cod Rail Trail, making it easy to explore the wider Cape region by bicycle. Hikers can enjoy wooded trails that wind through the forest and along pond shores. The campground features an amphitheater for ranger programs and educational activities during the camping season. Campsites are situated in wooded settings with varying levels of privacy. The park can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 35 feet in length at designated sites. As one of Massachusetts' most popular state park campgrounds, Nickerson offers a classic Cape Cod camping experience with convenient access to both natural beauty and nearby Cape Cod attractions.

Directions

From Boston, take Route 3 south to the Sagamore Bridge, then Route 6 east to Exit 12 in Orleans. Turn left off the ramp onto Route 6A West toward Brewster. Continue for about 2 miles; Nickerson State Park will be on the left at 3488 Main Street.
