About

Nickerson State Park is a 1,900-acre oasis in Brewster on Cape Cod, featuring 418 campsites spread across multiple loops within pine and oak forests. The campground's proximity to eight crystal-clear freshwater ponds makes it ideal for swimming, kayaking, and fishing. Four ponds are stocked year-round with trout. An 8-mile paved bicycle path connects campers to the 26-mile Cape Cod Rail Trail, which passes through six Cape Cod towns. The campground offers standard tent and RV sites, along with yurts in Area 4. Standard sites can accommodate RVs and trailers up to 45 feet, though some loops have narrower, uneven sites better suited to smaller rigs. Each campsite includes a picnic table and fire ring. Comfort stations with hot showers and flush toilets are conveniently located throughout the campground, and water spigots are available on each loop. A dump station serves RV campers, but no hookups are available. Reservations are made through ReserveAmerica up to four months in advance. The park is one of Massachusetts' most popular campgrounds due to its combination of wooded sites, freshwater recreation, and Cape Cod location.
