About

Weeping Rock Campground is a small, primitive Bureau of Land Management campground situated along the Green River just below Fontenelle Dam in Sweetwater County, Wyoming. The campground offers 10 sites, each equipped with a picnic table and barbecue grill. A vault toilet serves all campers. There is no potable water available, so visitors must bring their own supply. The campground is particularly popular with anglers targeting trout and kokanee salmon in this stretch of the Green River. Motorboat restrictions in the area help maintain quality fishing conditions. Boat access is available for non-motorized watercraft. The site is located near historic resources, and visitors are asked not to collect or damage any artifacts. Weeping Rock operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservations accepted through Recreation.gov. The campground is managed by the BLM Kemmerer Field Office.

Directions

From Kemmerer, take US 189 east 25 miles to WY 372. Go 8.4 miles and turn left onto County Line Road. Weeping Rock is adjacent to the dam.
