New Fork Campground

Closed — Closed for winter. The campground typically operates seasonally from late spring through fall, weather and road conditions permitting.

About

New Fork Campground sits at 6,800 feet elevation adjacent to the New Fork River in western Wyoming, 23 miles south of Pinedale on US 191, then 12 miles west on Wyoming Highway 351. Managed by the Bureau of Land Management, this small campground features 3 camping sites with picnic tables and a vault toilet. The campground serves as both a riverside camping area and a functional river access point, providing a boat launch for floaters and anglers. The New Fork River offers excellent fishing opportunities and scenic float trips through this portion of Sublette County. The location provides a quiet, undeveloped camping experience typical of BLM sites. As a dispersed-style BLM campground, New Fork operates on a first-come, first-served basis with no reservation system and no camping fees. The basic amenities and riverside setting make it popular with river users, anglers, and campers seeking a low-key base camp for exploring the surrounding public lands.
